Reel Leaders is a connection point for people who are interested in using films and videos to study, teach and inspire leaders. This site invites visitors to review media for its usefulness to students and practitioners of leadership and to post recommendations about films and videos that have added to their knowledge about, and practice of, leadership.
The initial research conducted by Margie Nicholson, professor of art, entertainment, and media management at Columbia College Chicago, focused on the use of documentaries and independent media in teaching leadership to college students. Her research is posted under Selected Documentaries. Watch this site for more recent research and an expanded list of documentaries with leadership themes and topics. Recommendations about feature films will be added in 2008, and visitors to this site are invited to propose films and videos for review and commentary.
